  • The Wine Institute... is a partner in the BIE grant which sponsors the SFSU Family Winery Forum. The WINE INSTITUTE is the public policy advocacy association of California wineries. It brings together the resources of 915 wineries and affiliated businesses to support legislative and regulatory advocacy, international market development, media relations, scientific research, and education programs that benefit the entire California wine industry.

  • Family Winemakers of California... was founded in 1991 to give voice and presence to small, family wineries in the public policy arena - to protect the "little guy" from government over-regulation.

  • Free the Grapes ... Free the Grapes! is a national, grassroots coalition of consumers, wineries and retailers who seek to remove restrictions in states that still prohibit consumers from purchasing wines directly from wineries and retailers.

  • BUGSPOT.org... is a site dedicated to providing information about the Glassy-Winged Sharpshooter.

  • Coalition for Free Trade... is a non-profit legal foundation whose goal is to legalize direct-to-consumer shipments of wine from out-of-state wineries and retailers in those states where it is currently prohibited.

  • Bioterrorism Act of 2002... The events of Sept. 11, 2001, reinforced the need to enhance the security of the United States. Congress responded by passing the Public Health Security and Bioterrorism Preparedness and Response Act of 2002 (the Bioterrorism Act), which President Bush signed into law June 12, 2002.

  • California Farm Bureau... is a non-governmental, non-profit, voluntary membership California corporation that’s purpose is to protect and promote agricultural interests throughout the state of California and to find solutions to the problems of the farm, the farm home and the rural community.

  • Meritage... was formed 1988 by a group of American vintners to identify hand-crafted wines blended from the traditional noble Bordeaux varietals including: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot and Malbec or Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, and Sauvignon Vert.

  • Bordeaux.. official website of the Bordeaux region.

  • ZAP... consists of almost 6,000 Advocates across the United States and internationally and over 310 producers of Zinfandel.

  • LocalWineEvents.com... a comprehensive (tremendously so) calendar of wine events.

  • Wine Vision... is a California-based wine industry organization devoted to strategic thinking. It encourages the wine industry think ahead, and to think about the consumer first.

  • WineAmerica... is a national association of American Wineries committed to encourage the dynamic growth and development of American wineries and winegrowing through the advancement and advocacy of sound public policy.

  • COPIA... is the Wine Country gathering place for people, learning and ideas. Through a menu of fun and interactive programs, tastings, exhibitions, festivals, dining, performances and organic gardens, COPIA brings the general public and enthusiasts together with leading vintners, chefs, gardeners and artists to explore and celebrate wine, food, gardens and the arts.
